OUR PROCESS
CLEAR STEPS | NO SURPRISES | LAND YOU CAN FEEL GOOD ABOUT
We know how overwhelming land management can feel. Whether you’re navigating wildfire risk for the first time or returning to finish a larger plan, we meet you wherever you are—and walk with you every step of the way.
1. SCHEDULE AN ASSESSMENT
Start by calling Jessica or filling out our online form. We’ll talk through your goals and schedule a visit—often with one of our trusted partners, like Jay Pape from Gallatin County, Specialists with the NRCS of Foresters from the DNRC.
You don’t need to be present for the site visit, but if you are, we’ll walk the land together.
2. WE LISTEN & LEARN YOUR LAND
During the walkthrough, we assess:- Vegetation types and density
- Slope, aspect, and terrain challenges
- Existing trails, home layout, and natural features
- Opportunities to integrate wildlife corridors, privacy screens, and aesthetic goals
- Grant eligibility and cost-saving options
3. TREATMENT MAP & BID
Once we understand the site, we create:
- A treatment map outlining the scope of work
- A clear bid and contract that reflects time, equipment, and crew needs
- Options for staging, firewood decking, trail access, and future phases
We can also submit any required info to your local grant program.
4. SCHEDULING & SETUP
We’ll work with your schedule, the season, and our team availability to line up a start date. We’ll confirm:
- Work zones and expectations
- Access points and parking
- Any staging needs for equipment or logs
We aim to be efficient, respectful, and low-impact.
5. WE DO THE WORK — THE RIGHT WAY
Our crew shows up with intention and experience. You can expect:
- A friendly, skilled team who communicates well
- Safe, organized work with daily cleanup
- Ongoing updates if scope or weather shifts
- An outcome that feels thoughtful, clean, and complete
6. WALK THROUGH & FUTURE CARE
Once work wraps, we’ll walk the site with you (if desired), talk about next steps, and share any notes about:
- Ongoing maintenance
- Firewood or mulch use
- Additional restoration or treatments down the line
